We are looking for freelance/ contract Architectural Technicians / Technologists to join our team, where you will be working remotely where possible as part of our Construction and Design Team. Working on design coordination for our projects as well as work for our design only clients.
​
To contribute to key client expectations in relation to requirements, budgets and project timetables are met and maintained at the highest standards. To contribute to the execution of all work in accordance with the CDM regulations, and other relevant statutory and legal requirements.
To be fully conversant with Revit CAD drawings package and at a minimum qualified to Graduate entry-level and some experience of design work or HNC/HND plus experience.
Salary to be discussed at interview based on experience.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
-
Producing high quality drawings for all stages of the design process (RIBA Stages 3-5) along with detailed specifications and tendering packages
-
Coordinating the design of our projects, involving liaising with the sub contractors, consultants, project manager and clients to ensure the design process runs smoothly and effectively throughout ensuring any clashes in design are resolved promptly.

Responding to actions from management, completing them in agreed time frames, working with other team members where appropriate

Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors and other professionals

Respond to ‘Requests for Information’ and issue design clarifications

Assisting in securing new work, providing commercial and design input

Who we are looking for:
Essential Skills & Experience:
-
Experience in design & construction (RIBA Stages 3-5)
-
Architectural Technology degree (CIAT) or relevant qualification
-
Proficient in relevant architectural CAD package e.g. Revit, AutoCAD, Microstation, Vectorworks or ArchiCAD
-
Family creation and the ability to produce adaptive nested families in Revit
-
Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, CDM and best practice or at least knowledge and understanding of PassivHaus with the willingness to learn
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office software
-
Prior experience working in an architectural practise or construction company
-
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
-
Ability to translate design intent drawings into accurate technical/construction drawings
-
Strong organisational skills with the ability to work independently and/or as part of a team
-
Knowledge and understanding of sustainable construction products & techniques

Preparation of Planning Applications

Preparation of Building Regulations Applications
Desired

CEPH PassivHaus designer qualification
-
CDM 2015 Principal Designer qualification

ability to carry out efficient measured surveys and complete drawing packages for planning and building control

Proficient in 3D architectural BIM CAD package ArchiCAD or Revit

Current available roles
We are looking to add a Junior Architectural Technician or Technologist to the team.
The successful candidate will ideally have some practice-based experience, but it is open to someone who has carried out a placement year whilst studying.
​
The successful individual will be working as part of the team and independently within the practice, learning their trade and in time attending site visits etc.
​
My client works predominately in Revit; therefore, it is essential to have a good understanding of this, as well as being able to work in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop.
Key Skills:
-Work with Revit on a daily basis.
-Create Revit Families
-Work independently as well as in a team.
-Attend Site Visits.
-Create building regulation drawings and technical detailing.
-Work closely with clients and contractors
Requirements:
-HNC/HND/Architectural Technology Degree
-Excellent knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
-Technical detailing skills.
-Knowledge of Building Regulations
-Strong computer/software skills

Job Types: Full-time / Part-time / Contract rates £negotiable dependant upon experience.
Permanent option available for the right candidates with a Salary of £negotiable per year dependant on experience.
